Jitka Volfová
Dr. Volfová was awarded her master degree at Prague University of Economics and Business in International Trade and Commercial Communications. After her two-year research stay in China, she acquired her Ph.D. with her thesis on The Influence of Cultural Specifics on International Business Negotiation – Chinese Business Negotiation and won the Josef Hlávka´s price for outstanding students. She further deepened her experience in the field of International Cross-Cultural Management and Business Negotiation and Protocol e. g. by taking part in the Czech participation in EXPO 2010 in Shanghai. She is a certified coach, lecturer in practice and researcher.
She is a behavioural economist focusing on social taxonomy from the perspective of diversity management, cross-cultural communication and negotiation and sustainable HR Management including managerial skills and self-development. As a co-author she won the Rector´s price for a published scientific paper on Consumer Ethnocentricity. She stood by creating the minor specialization Chinese Studies and the Center for Asian Studies. She is involved in teaching in the Czech as well as English study programme including the MBA program and is connected to the European Retail Academy. She has been active as a student, researcher and visiting professor abroad (France, Germany, Ireland, UK, China, USA, Russia, Austria).
